Closely Knit Together in a Network of Fellowships

Testimonial for Bob Bignold from the Chairman of Full Gospel Global Forum Steering Committee

‘Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” ….”That they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them” (Rev 14:13)

As I struggled through the pain of receiving the news of the death of my friend Bob Bignold, the above quoted scripture kept playing in my head and enabled me to fully grasp the enormity of the passage into glory of Bob Bignold, National President of FGBMFA; a committed compatriot and general in the Lord’s army.

I met Bob Bignold for the first time at the 1991 FGBMFI World Convention after he shared testimonies of the exploits of the airlift team he led to Japan. I was immediately drawn to him as a role model. How privileged I felt when I became one of two Africans invited same year by the Seattle FGBMFI to attend their impressive annual men’s advance. Bob hosted me at his home for the week; a memorable experience I had cherished since then.

My wife and I were also privileged to host him for diner in our home in Enugu - Nigeria when he visited my city  in the year 2008 for an airlift with a brother from Texas. Bob and I share the same passion to see Demos’ vision fulfilled around the world without being burdened by the structures of men who desire to control and teleguide nations on how best to interpret the vision.

When the Lord spoke to me on my sick bed in December 2010 about the urgent need to call FGBMFI nations back to His blueprint for the fellowship as espoused in his book; “Vision Intensified” “A New Wave of Revival’, Bob Bignold was my natural partner in the task of reaching out to leaders in key FGB nations who desired to rekindle the love and passion of the vision given to our founder Demos. As a leader of high integrity and stature, he became the rallying focus that enabled the speedy realization of the first Global Leadership Prayer Summit that held in London in 2012.

FGGF Steering committee of 2012/13 will never forget the stabilizing and envisioning role played by Bob in the formation of Full Gospel Global Forum. As he takes his bow to rest in the Lord, we who are alive and remain are committed to be faithful to the calling of God upon our lives to sustain this platform as a global umbrella under which nations can freely associate as they give God outlets to manifest His infinite variety through our various fellowships in our nations to keep calling men back to God.
